Stress & Personal Development: When navel-gazing turn Nasty!


In General, the more we develop personally, the lower the level of our long-term stress. After all, helps discovering our life purpose avoid the stress of futility. Development of improved communication skills avoids many relationship problems. Improving the time management of the helps prevent feeling overcommitted in daily work. On the surface seem stress management and personal development to fit perfectly together.

So we must absolutely prevent personal development at all if we want to keep a handle on stress? Not necessary, but we have to look at what development we do and how it affects our stress levels.

SO HOW CAN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT INCREASE STRESS?

All personal development is going to change on a certain level, and change is a major source of stress for many people. This means that, even if you're trying to do something that will eventually lower your stress level (for example, a time management or communication skills), sometimes as a short term can act.

There are four main reasons for personal development work, instead of cure stress:

-Too many areas

-Lack of balance

-Unrealistic expectations

TOO MANY AREAS

Personal development can be addictive-who wouldn't want to be the best person they in every area of their life? With so many areas we can work on, we often try to improve it in multiple areas at once. For some people, this is not a problem.For others, however, the old saying "two rabbit hunting, capture or" applies.

If you are working on the improvement of two or more areas of your life and your stress levels rise, consider asking yourself, "what area is most important right now?" or, "what area would improve the most difference for me now?" and then to focus on that area.Everything will still be there waiting for you when you're ready with the first!

LACK OF GENERAL BALANCE

Personal development takes commitment and willingness to act.Sometimes, however, we exaggerate the importance of a certain improvement of the point that nothing else matters, and other areas get neglected.For example, if you want to develop spiritually, you need to take time to do this.If you ignore from friends or work requirements, so you start to meditate for hours a day, it may start can cause stress.

UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

If only it were so easy!

In reality, those habits take time to change, practice new skills, and few that happen overnight. If you're frustrated because you don't see progress (or not seeing it fast enough), remember self improvement is a bit like building a House. the first part of the work is always below ground level-graves and then foundations. on the surface it would seem that absolutely nothing happened. Still if the fundamentals are not properly implemented, will the House itself collapse. personal development can if that quite a few.

If you are frustrated by a clear lack of progress, to take a step back and ask yourself how realistic in your expectations are. talk with others who have made the same change-how long did it take them? DO IT ALL ON YOUR OWN

Of course, personal development is personal-no one can do it for you. but you don't have to treat only. There is ample support in the form of communities, mailing lists, forums, and trained experts-that no one should feel alone. Type "personal development" or a "self improvement" in your search engine of choice and see what's coming. you may also want to consider consulting a stress management coach.
